SUNSHINE COAST NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY

To capture the newborn stage, we work within a tiny window of opportunity. Newborns are best photographed between 5-14 days old to achieve classic poses, as this is when they are easily settled, often sleeping, and most comfortable during sessions. Therefore, the best time to book your newborn session is while you are still pregnant. That way, we can be certain to photograph your bub at the best possible time when your baby is still in that curly, fresh womb-like phase. Older babies are generally less sleepy and harder to pose.

Don't worry if you've never experienced this type of photo shoot. I provide a very safe and warm environment! My studio is kept at the right temperature, and the shoot allows plenty of time for feeding and cuddles.

I do newborn sessions in the morning at my Sunshine Coast studio, where I have an extensive prop collection for you, controlled lighting, and temperature. You are not required to bring any outfits for your little one; however, if you have any items such as knitted blankets or special clothing items that you would like to be included in your images, you can bring them along, and I will make every effort to incorporate them into your session.

Most newborn sessions take between 2-4 hours, allowing ample time for a variety of studio setups, as well as important activities like feeding, settling, and cuddling. You are welcome to bring something to eat to refuel, especially if you are breastfeeding.

Sibling and family shots are included as well. Please let me know if you plan to have these done, and I will set up the studio accordingly.
